Jazz up those jingle bells for Athlone Hospice

The Midlands Big Band are hosting a Christmas cracker of a show on Monday, December 10, at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Athlone in aid of Athlone Hospice, just in time to kick of the festive season.

Take a magical musical trip and enjoy melodic classics including your Christmas favourites and classics influenced by the big sounds of Glen Miller, Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald and Barbara Streisand, to name but a few.

‘Christmas Night Out’ will include a very special tribute to the Rohan family in memory of Sammy, with special guests on the night to include Pascal Brennan (with his Joe Dolan show ), Keith McDonald and Joe Flynn.

The South Westmeath Hospice Foundation was established in 1994 to help meet the needs of patients through training, the provision of nurses and equipment and the respite unit at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athlone. It also enables the provision of service by nurses on the Home Care team who assisted people with life threatening illnesses and their families by providing support at home.

Athlone Hospice provide an appropriate and safe environment that will deliver the best practice of care and promote dignity in the end stages of life for palliative care patients and their families.

Join the Midlands Big Band on the December 10 for a fabulous night of music and Christmas sing along.

Tickets (€10 ), can be purchased on the night at the Prince of Wales Hotel with doors opening at 7.30pm.
