Fernhill Garden Centre on the Ballymahon Road, Athlone will launch its annual Christmas shop on Thursday next, November 8.
The opening will commence with the official switching on of the Fernhill Christmas lights at 6.30pm, followed by festive shopping, a wine and cheese reception and dining at Savoury Fare until 9pm.
The Christmas Shop at Fernhill is renowned for having the most beautiful and finest Christmas decorations including trees, wreaths, garlands, exquisite decorations and eclectic gifts displayed as a visual feast.
This year the Fernhill Christmas shop features several gorgeous Christmas décor themes, from the nostalgic to the rustic chic.
Waiting for Santa
The firm favourite for many homes is the traditional Christmas red and emerald green colour theme with classic white lights on your tree. This collection has a real ‘Waiting for Santa’ feel and includes stockings hanging from the mantle, beautiful poinsettias and berries to decorate the whole home and for the kids, the Christmas Door, so the elves can visit and check all is ready for Santa’s arrival on Christmas night.
Natural Beauty
This very on trend collection takes its inspiration from rose golds, rusty browns and deep blues to give your home that Christmas feeling, with exposed wooden reindeers, crafted wooden decorations, complemented beautifully by navys, golds and bronzes for that simplistic natural, earthy look.
Dream Away
Make Christmas even more enchanting with blush pinks, pearl whites and sleek silvers. This dreamworld collection is filled with fairies and fantasy using romantic pastels to add magic to your home this Christmas.
Love the smell of a real Christmas tree? Fernhill’s Christmas trees are grown especially for them in Wexford picked out by Fernhill’s owner, Eoin Reid, every year.
Or, if you prefer an artificial tree you will find trees that are so realistic you cannot resist stroking them.
And because shopping can work up an appetite, Savoury Fare at Fernhill will be open until 9pm on the night with a gorgeous Christmas themed menu for the evening. Owners, Des Hennelly and Rory Currid have created a festive menu that features a Savoury Fare twist on the traditional turkey, ham and of course, a vegetarian option. Savoury Fare will also be launching their Christmas chutneys, jams & relishes collection, sharing samples of their mince pies and taking Christmas orders on the night.
The Christmas shop at Fernhill Garden Centre will be open from Monday to Saturday, 9am – 6pm and Sunday, from 11am – 6pm.
