The inaugural Pat McDonnell Paints cycle in aid of the Irish Cancer Society created a positive spin with over €4,500 successfully raised charity.
“Cancer is something that has affected each of us in some way, either directly or through a friend or relative and we wanted to show our support through this 100km cycle which is why we chose the Irish Cancer Society for the fantastic work they do,” Peadar Mulvihill, Store Manager, Pat McDonnell Paints Athlone, commented.
Complimenting the fantastic public support, Peadar said a sense of fulfilment was noted upon making the cheque presentation.
“We had great support from the public and we had staff from many of our own stores, including neighbouring Galway Store manager, Bryan Mulledy and others from Dublin and Cork. It was a great occasion and presenting over €4,500 to the Irish Cancer Society makes it worthwhile.
Pat McDonnell Paints is the largest, independent paint retailer in Ireland with its Athlone store based in Monksland Business Park.
