Following the success of ‘The 2 Johnnies’ recent appearance at The Prince, Athlone, comedy returns to the popular venue next month with Farmer Michael and Kathleen taking to the stage on September 28 at the ever popular Church Street venue.
Their hilarious sketches knock some craic out of Irish stereotypes. Farmer Michael is the loser you love to hate and hate to love. Alongside his long suffering wife Kathleen, they have taken Ireland by storm.
No topic is off the table, from 9/11 to Caitlin Jenner, including viral hits ‘Silage in Loughrea’, and ‘the Fresh Prince of Ballinasloe’. Michael is the epitome of the lovable Irish rogue, never afraid to say it like it is but always held in check by Kathleen.
After only two years on the comedy scene, they have gathered a following of over 250,000 people worldwide and over 20 million views on some of their sketches. The King and Queen of farming satire may offend some but aren’t planning on quitting any time soon!
