Thirty years ago Paddy Hughes had no idea what fate had in store for him when his aunt chose him to carry on the gift of healing which had been in the family for over 100 years.
Paddy has more than 30 different cures and heals through prayer and other remedies used include oatmeal to cure asthma, angina and headaches, sand to get rid of warts and verruccas. He cannot explain how these work but is a great believer in the power of prayer.
Paddy gets requests from people from people of all walks and life and says with a touch of humour, ‘when they have tried the rest, they come to me!’ He also works on animals and has great success in curing orf infections in sheep and pink eye in animals.
Paddy says that he has great results in what he does but he cannot cure everything. He is sad that many of the old cures have been lost as they have not been passed on to family members.
