Join Michele Fox for fun-filled arts and crafts activities in Luan Gallery and Athlone Castle for this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg - national day of creativity for children - events taking place on Saturday, June 23.
Cruinniú na nÓg offers children the opportunity to express themselves and have fun while learning new skills.
To celebrate and encourage children and young people’s participation in culture and creativity, Luan Gallery will host 'Under the Sea' - two workshops from 11am to 12pm and 12pm to 1pm. Children will have the opportunity to create their very own sea creatures, discover the ocean and learn about marine life in this fun arts and craft workshop which is suitable for 4-12 year olds.
The fun will continue throughout the afternoon with Athlone Castle hosting drop-in arts and crafts activities from 2pm to 4pm. Children will become kings and queens for the afternoon, creating and decorating their very own medieval crown using paper, colours, gems, and stickers!
All activities are free but places are limited in both venues. Pre–booking is required to secure your childs place in Luan Gallery’s workshop 'Under the Sea'.
