Mary O’Rourke recognised by Cappagh Hospital Foundation

Mary O’Rourke received an award for her work as Patron of the Cappagh Hospital Foundation, at an event celebrating the foundation’s 30th anniversary held on April 12.

The evening was in honour of the many supporters of the foundation during the past 30 years, and the extensive work it has carried out in support of the Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital since 1988.

The highlight of the evening was an awards ceremony presented by Mary O’Rourke, a longstanding patron of the foundation, to honour a variety of different people and organisations who have helped make a difference throughout the years.

Speaking at the event, Orla Gilroy, CEO of Cappagh Hospital Foundation said: “The foundation could not operate without the longstanding support from our patrons and donors and on behalf of myself and the board, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to these individuals and organisations for the continued support the foundation has received.

“I would also like to extend a special thanks to Mary O’Rourke, who has been a Patron and supporter of the Cappagh Hospital Foundation for many years. We are delighted Mary could travel to present these awards to so many of our wonderful corporate and community supporters.”
