The Tony Parker Foundation has donated a defibrillator for the Monksland area.
The presentation took place on Monday evening this week at the Athlone Springs Hotel.
Speaking on the evening, Geraldine Parker said the presentation marks the 109th defibrillator the foundation has delivered for Athlone and its surrounding areas in the last 10 years.
The defibrillator is currently being housed in the Athlone Springs Hotel but will be moved to its new permanent home on the wall outside of Cunningham’s Pharmacy in Monksland in two months time.
This has been a long term project for the team at the foundation, who intend to continue fundraising and seeking sponsorship from local businesses in order to supply more defibrillators for the Monksland area.
