Tribesmen Rowing Club host ‘Adult Introduction to Rowing Camp’

Tribesmen Rowing Club recently hosted an ‘Adult Introduction to Rowing Camp’, led by Janet Kehelly and her army of volunteers.

The enthusiasm was palpable among the participants as they embraced the challenges and joys of rowing, from learning the basic rowing technique to immersing themselves in the camaraderie of the sport.

During the camp, participants were taught the basic rowing techniques and the procedures for safety on slips and on water, before rowing on the picturesque waters of the River Corrib.

The success of such events relies heavily on the commitment of volunteers, and Tribesmen Rowing Club extends heartfelt thanks to all who contributed their time and effort to make this camp possible.

Furthermore, the event was made possible through the generous support of local rowing clubs, including University of Galway Boat Club, Jes Rowing Club, and Galway Rowing Club, who provided boats, security, and safety equipment.

Tribesmen Rowing Club also acknowledges the ongoing support of Galway City Council and Galway Sports Partnership, whose continued backing ensures the success and growth of rowing initiatives in the community.
