Running from Saturday September 22 to Saturday September 29, Mayo Ideas Week has a programme with something to suit businesses of all sizes and at all stages. The theme for the week is Empowering People and a strong element of enterprise and entrepreneurship is promised.

The EMPOWER Programme (female entrepreneurship programme in the West of Ireland which was launched last year) is now commencing its second cycle commencing in Oct 2018. Last year over ninety females applied for this programme which is funded by the Department of Justice and Equality and the European Social Fund and run by the GMIT Innovation Hubs.

Mayo Ideas Week kicks off today (Monday, September 25), with the Spirit of Change seminar at GMIT. Chaired by Tommy Marren from Midwest Radio, this is a ‘must’ event for every entrepreneur in Mayo. Spirit of Change will explore the challenges and opportunities arising across the changing international, political, social, and business environments. Inspirational speakers will outline their vision for the future and their strategies for managing change.
