TREES AROUND Áras an Uachtaráin, which were felled by storms, and subsequently gifted by Uachtarán na hÉireann, Michael D Higgins, to Letterfrack GMIT, are now the subject of a new book - See The Wood From The Trees.

A student at GMIT’s National Centre for Excellence in Furniture Design and Technology in Letterfrack has been selected to join an Irish team competing in WorldSkills 2017, taking place in in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 14 to 19 October.

More than 50 unique furniture pieces designed and made by degree students in GMIT Letterfrack opened to the public in the campus gallery yesterday (Wednesday). The exhibition was formally opened by the newly appointed CEO of Galway 2020 Hannah Kiely.
