Easter weekend has again been designated Ireland's second National Pilgrim Paths event with a nationwide series of walks planned along all of the country's major medieval penitential walkways. To coincide with this event part of Tóchar Phádraig - the ancient Pilgrim Path between Ballintubber and Croagh Patrick - will be walked on Easter Monday April 6 from Aughagower to Ballintubber Abbey. Overseas children’s charity, Plan Ireland is pleased to announce that their nationwide series of photographic exhibitions is coming to Belvedere House, Mullingar on September 29. As well as the photo exhibition, they will also be hosting the official launch of a new book by local author and Plan Ireland sponsor, Dolores Keaveney.
