Xperi Corporation, a Silicon Valley based, publicly traded technology company with two subsidiaries in Ireland – FotoNation in Galway and DTS in Limerick – yesterday (Wednesday) celebrated the official opening of its new FotoNation office in Galway, and announced that it is to create 50 new jobs in reserach and development.

Mayo University Hospital has introduced 35 mobile ‘point of care’ computers which are available for staff in the wards throughout the hospital and in the Emergency Department. Each computer has a clinical grade keyboard and mouse which can be deep cleaned for infection control purposes.
