Ireland West Airport Knock (IWAK) this week announced its second annual charity 5k runway fun run will take place on the runway at Ireland West Airport on Saturday May 27, following the success of its first runway fun run last year.

Ireland West Airport is expecting to have its busiest Christmas period in the airport’s 30 year history as thousands of people make their way home for Christmas to the West and North West. Over the Christmas period the airport is expected to handle close to 30,000 passengers, making it the busiest Christmas period in the Airports history with traffic expected to be up by almost 10% compared to last Christmas.

Growth continues of routes in and out of Ireland West Airport Knock with the announcements of a major expansion of two new year round services by Flybe to Birmingham and Edinburgh which will see 75,000 additional seats at the airport, and Falcon and Thompson will offer Spain's Costa Dorada as a new holiday destination for the summer 2016 season.
