On Saturday, the town of Ballinasloe witnessed a moment of extraordinary unity and defiance as thousands of people from across the west and midlands of Ireland marched shoulder-to-shoulder to demand the full reinstatement of maternity services at Portiuncula University Hospital (PUH).
