Actions by management in the Technological University of the Shannon to take a dedicated student space away from the Students’ Union will affect their ability to look after the welfare of their students and should be stopped, the Union of Students in Ireland has stated this week.

A pilot programme launched this week will see period products freely available at a number of locations around University of Galway in a bid to tackle period poverty among students and staff.
