Killala firm wins contract to install electric car home charge points
Gaeltec Utilities Ltd, a Mayo company that specialises in design, installation, and commissioning in the energy, renewable and telecommunications sectors, has been successful in winning a contract from ESB ecars to install home charge points for electric cars nationwide. The company has also integrated the first electric vehicle into its own commercial fleet of some 80 vehicles. Gaeltec Utilities is headed by Killala native, Sean Hannick.
Ballydonagh still accepting domestic waste
While the landfill site at Ballydonagh outside Athlone is no longer in operation as a waste management facility as of last week, the council have maintained a facility for members of the public to continue to dispose of household waste directly.
