Fine Gael Mayo senator, Paddy Burke, has welcomed the nationwide extension of the Personal Micro Credit Scheme by Minister for Social Protection Leo Varadkar, and urged all credit unions in Mayo to sign up, saying it will help local people to avoid moneylenders.
