The Galway Comedy Festival has revealed an ambitious line-up for its latest bout of autumnal amusement from October 22, to October 28, and this year it will break out of the city to what lies beyond.

Three new book launches, panel discussions, creative workshops, poetry and fiction will be central to a jam packed Wild Atlantic Words Literary festival which runs from this Wednesday, October 4 to Sunday, October 8 in Castlebar.  And the programme has something for every taste — children's events, young people's writing, history debates, sporting memoirs, culinary arts, hometown reminiscences.

AL KENNEDY, the Scottish author, columnist, commentator, and stand-up comic, is coming to Cúírt to read at an event alongside Conor O’Callaghan, shortlist nominee for the Kerry Group Novel of the Year.
