University of Galway has held its third annual Siobhán McKenna scholarship and lecture series. This event honours the legacy of Siobhán McKenna, the Belfast-born actress who became a world-renowned actress of stage and screen, starring in Dr Zhivago, King of Kings and Of Human Bondage.

Organised by the Italian Embassy, the Italian Institute of Culture and the Italian-Irish Chamber of Commerce, the festival will take place across Dublin, Cork and Galway from April to May. This is the third year of the Italian Film Festival in Ireland, and its first time in Galway.
