Twenty-four students have received NUI Galway student sports scholarships at a special ceremony this week.

The Irish women’s junior 8 rowing team which won gold in Cardiff at the Home Countries International Regatta, beating England, Scotland, and Wales. Galway boasted seven rowers on the team. Several rowers from Coláiste Iognáid have been selected to row in international competitions this month following the National Rowing Championships in Co Cork.
