Foróige is fully committed to continuing to meet the developmental needs of the young people of Castlebar and in particular those affected by the closure of the Youth Information Centre.

Young people are welcome to check their CAO offers online and free of charge on Thursday August 18 from noon to 5pm at the Youth Information Centre, Pavilion Road, Castlebar (situated directly across from the tennis courts).

The Youth Information Centre is currently working on a publication detailing information on leisure activities available for young people in the Castlebar area.

The first grant award presentation of CastleCash YouthBank took place recently in the Youth Information Centre, Pavilion Road, Castlebar. Grants were distributed by the youth committee of YouthBank to local youth groups in Castlebar to run community initiatives. The event was attended by the newly elected Mayor, Councillor Michael Kilcoyne.
