GALWAY THEATRE company Wolf Meets World are in An Taibhdhearc next week with the Irish premiere of Seamus Scanlon’s The McGowan Trilogy, a trio of one-act plays which have already enjoyed a successful run in New York, winning awards for Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Design at the city’s annual Irish Theatre Festival.

The Annebrook House Hotel has recently expanded to add an exciting new aspect to its Old House, creating a completely new experience for Mullingar. The Old House Piano and Wine Bar will launch this weekend, and will open Wednesday to Sunday from 6pm til late.

The Western Development Commission (WDC) has launched the LookWest.ie My Summer photo competition. The competition, running during July and August, invites people to capture their favourite west of Ireland summer moments and be in with a chance to win the top prize worth €1,500. Photos can be of a great memory, the fun and excitement of attending one of the region’s many festivals or just a lazy, relaxing day that captures the appeal of the West of Ireland.
