SSE and Greencoat Renewables, co-owners of Galway Wind Park, have opened the 2026 round of the Galway Wind Park Major Projects Fund, with €300,000 available to support large scale, community-led initiatives within 10km of the wind farm.

SSE Renewables and Greencoat Renewables have announced that the 2025 Galway Wind Park Community Fund is now open for applications. The fund supports local groups and individuals in the vicinity of the Galway Wind Park, located in Cloosh Valley, Connemara.

Third-level students from Connemara are being invited to apply for the next round of education funding being made available under the 2023 Galway Wind Park Scholarship Programme, which is funded by Ireland’s largest wind farm Galway Wind Park. The closing date for applications is Friday, October 27.
