The 19th Galway Science and Technology Festival welcomed another record breaking 20,000 visitors to its annual final day Exhibition at NUI Galway last Sunday, and honoured several people on the day with major science awards. The two-week Festival culminated in the final day Exhibition and also brought 180 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) shows and workshops to 35,000 primary and secondary school students across Galway City and County.

The 19th Galway Science & Technology Festival will culminate with its final day exhibition this Sunday 27 November at NUI Galway from 10am-6pm. World leading Galway companies, schools, colleges and research institutes will exhibit over 80 free interactive STEM demonstrations and science shows for all ages to enjoy.

The launch of the 18th Galway Science and Technology Festival, part of National Science Week, was hosted by the main sponsor Medtronic in their Customer Innovation Centre, Parkmore on Monday  The 2015 Festival will see 180 events and 35,000 primary and secondary school students take part in shows and workshops from November 9-22. This year’s Festival will explore and celebrate “Science Week 2.0 - Design Your Future” in this International Year of Light at events in schools, colleges, research institutes, companies and community centres across Galway City and County.
