FILMS CELEBRATING women, the relationships between grandfathers, fathers, and sons, the sounds, style, and cultures of Cuba, Burlesque strip-tease performers will all feature in The Galway Film Society’s winter/spring season 2011.

DUBLIN ENSEMBLE Corn Exchange are among the notable Irish acts in this year’s Galway Arts Festival. The company will perform its acclaimed staging of Freefall, which was accorded the laurels of Best New Play and Best Director - for Annie Ryan - at the 2009 Irish Theatre Awards.

Annette Bening, the three times Oscar nominated actress, will be the main guest at this year’s Galway Film Fleadh, where she will give the Actors’ Masterclass and take part in the public interview.
