Lakelands, the debut feature from longford-based filmmakers robert higgins and patrick mcgivney, will have its world premiere at this year’s Galway Film Fleadh. Set within the world of smalltown GAA, the film is a searing and subversive look at this world from the inside that doesn’t pull any of its punches.

THE GALWAY Film Fleadh is now accepting submissions for dramatic, documentary, and animated feature films for this year's festival, which runs from Tuesday July 11 to Sunday 16.
