‘Threading the Táin’ is an inter-county community visual arts project showcasing five tapestries created in celebration of the epic Táin Bó Cúailnge, the Cattle Raid of Cooley.

FROM HER studio in Tuam, the artist Kathy Ross is reaching the world. Her textile work, depicting animals and the natural world, has led to her becoming a brand ambassador; a commissioned portrait artist; and rising name in arts and crafts.

All 4 Design exhibition will feature the work of design artists Ben Gabriel, Leo Scarff, Orla Lawn, and Fiona Wood. Design journalist Eleanor Flegg will officially open the exhibition at 6pm on Friday 18th October 2019 at the Luan Gallery, Elliot road, Athlone, Co. Westmeath until 30th November.

Luan Gallery will host a reception on Friday, April 12, at 6pm, to announce the opening of their spring exhibition, ‘Other Dimensions’, featuring installation art by multi-disciplinary artists Fiona Mulholland, Laura Angell and Paul Bokslag. The work of these three artists will then remain on display until June 9.

MA18, FEATURING the work of 12 visual artists and film makers, all graduates of the new MA in Creative Practice, opens tomorrow [September 21] in the Connacht Printworks Gallery, Middle Street.

THE GALWAY Arts Centre will hold art classes for children and teenagers, and Christmas craft-making workshops at the centre on Dominick Street.
