TARA ERRAUGHT, one of Ireland’s finest mezzo sopranos, will give a free concert this week as part of NUI Galway’s Arts in Action festival series.

JCI Mayo TOYP winners, Padraic Rocliffe, Laura Beston and Aaron Hannon, received further recognition last weekend when they were announced as three of JCI Ireland’s Top Outstanding Young People.

TARA ERRAUGHT, the much acclaimed mezzo soprano, will perform songs by Dvorak, Brahms, Wolf, Copland, Mahler, and Britten, in NUI Galway's Aula Maxima on Wednesday November 4 at 8pm.

FINGHIN COLLINS may declare himself "a musician first and then a pianist", but there is no doubting either his magnificent as a player, or his view of the piano being "a very complete instrument", as he will display in his upcoming Galway concert. Yet his love of, and interest in, other instruments, is genuine, particularly one that is somewhat under appreciated in classical music - the voice.
