It is that time of year already: school is out, life guards are on duty, the city is filled with dusty D-reg jeeps collecting Irish College escapees, and the Galway International Arts Festival begins in earnest next week when the whole town seems enchanted.

The 2024 Galway International Arts Festival will include seven world premiers, a new visual arts commission, the most extensive music line-up to date, and new theatre co-produced with partners Landmark Productions and Once Off Productions.

Winter is coming to London and Dublin this September and October as Landmark Productions and Galway International Arts Festival hit the road with their co-production Woyzeck in Winter, which wowed audiences at this year’s Galway International Arts Festival.

PERHAPS THE hottest ticket in GIAF 2017 is Woyzeck In Winter, in which some of Ireland’s foremost theatre-makers combine to present a thrilling fusion of two timeless German classics; Georg Büchner’s play Woyzeck and Franz Schubert’s Winterreise song cycle.
