Galway Roscommon ETB takes to the stage at annual education conference
Sinéad Morgan, Director of Further Education and Training at Galway Roscommon ETB (GRETB) was a featured speaker at this year’s Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) Further Education and Training conference which welcomed 250 delegates from across Ireland to Athlone last week. The title for this year’s conference was ‘Pathways – Pathways to FET, Pathways in FET, Pathways from FET’.
Two Galway businesses win Three’s Grant for Small Business award
Atlantic Scuba Adventures from Carraroe, Co. Galway and Aran Goats Cheese from the Aran Islands have been chosen as two of the 10 winners of the Grants for Small Businesses awards, which will see the companies each receive a portion of the €100,000 bursary.

The Breadski Brothers packaging wins IDI Design Award
Castlebar bakery, The Breadski Brothers, have won an IDI Design Award for their packaging, which was designed by Sarah Maguire from True Story. Judges commented: “From the use of illustration, typefaces, materials and format, the Breadski Brothers’ packaging sets a new level in its category on supermarket shelves. From a technical point of view, the hierarchy of information, colour coding to ease navigation of the range and layout of information was superb. Beyond this, the brand is a delight to interact with in its personality and tone of voice.”
