Some 50 business leaders have signed up to take part in this year's COPE Galway Sleep Out, now in its 10th year.

Homelessness and Housing charity Galway Simon Community is calling on people across Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and beyond to take on their Virtual Sleep Out for Simon challenge to raise awareness and vital funds to help prevent homelessness in the West.

For nine years, COPE Galway has been rallying business leaders to join together in solidarity against homelessness through its biggest annual fundraising event – The COPE Galway Business Sleep Out.

Twenty-eight men and women from Galway’s business community will take part in COPE Galway’s biggest fundraising event of the year tomorrow night (Friday, 6th December) to raise awareness and essential funds for COPE Galway’s Homeless Services.

St. Anthony’s & Claddagh Credit Union are hosting a Table Quiz Night on Thursday, 19th of September at The Skeff Late Bar & Kitchen with the theme of ‘Through the Decades: 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s & 00’s.

The Solstice Sleep Out for Simon will take place on the longest day of the year, Friday, June 21, where participants will experience for one night what many people in Ireland face every day, to help raise awareness and funds to tackle homelessness.

COPE Galway have confirmed that that their business Sleep Out held in the city last December has raised over €140,000.
