Alka Jessie, a fresh, local band hit Kilkenny in early 2010, with a song that seemed to be on everyone's lips for several weeks called Take it Slow.

The much anticipated Kilkenny Youth Music Awards, organised by Ossory Youth, was held in Desart Hall Youth Centre. The competition drew talent from all over the county with 10 acts participating on the day.

If you’re aged between 14-19 and interested in acting, graffiti, painting or sketching then check out Callan-Street-Arts (CSA) and their upcoming Open Day. CSA will be recruiting 16 young artists, actors and crew members to take part in an original and daring project this August - a live Graffiti and Theatre performance on the streets of Callan. This innovative project will see performers interacting with live graffiti and animation.
