This specially crafted pizza features Bolognese sauce with slow-cooked fennel sausage, smoked Gubbeen cheese béchamel sauce from West Cork, foraged and pickled wild ramsons, cold-pressed Irish rapeseed oil, and sprinkled with Achill Island sea salt.JP McMahon first experienced a Bolognese dish in the 1980s at Chez Hans in Tipperary—an influential moment he credits in his book, An Irish Food Story, as the beginning of his culinary journey. Twenty-nine Galwegians will once again don their warmest coats and hats to sleep out on Shop Street for the homeless.

The Dough Bros in Galway City have made history by being named in the prestigious 50 Top Pizza (Europe) for 2020. Eugene and Ronan Greaney who run The Dough Bros were named at number 21 by the judging panel at a ceremony held in Milan earlier this month. Just two pizzerias in Ireland featured on the list and for the first time the west of Ireland was not only featured but ranked at 21 in Europe.

Primary school students from Scoil Ide in Salthill have kicked The Dough Bros to touch. The students who were looking at more sustainable business practices hand wrote to some of their favourite places to eat in Galway, The Dough Bros were the only business to respond and to now take action. The aim was to get businesses to start using biodegradable cutlery, napkins, pizza boxes and brown bags.

The brother of a well-known businessman in Galway was the subject of a serious assault over the weekend. Ronan Greaney, whose brother Eugene runs Dough Bros pizza parlour on Abbeygate Street, had his jaw broken in the incident.
