Wristcrafts from Gaelcholáiste Chomáin, Ros Dumhach and Simply Achill from Coláiste Pobail , Achill were acclaimed as joint winners of the Údarás na Gaeltachta – Company of the Year Regional Final, which was held in Arás Inis Gluaire, Belmullet recently. 150 Students from five secondary schools in the Gaeltacht region in Mayo competed in final, showcasing a range of innovative business ideas, which were created by the young entrepreneurs.

Creative teams from across the country will take to Ireland’s most prestigious stage to showcase their couture creations made from rubbish as part of the Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture competition hosted by Xpose’s Glenda Gilson.
Major renovations at Mayo Leisure Point this September
From Monday September 21 Mayo Leisure Point will undergo major renovations that will see it closed for approximately three weeks to carry out works. However bowling will cease from Wednesday, September 16. The all new bowling lanes, bowling machines, and reception will be revealed when Mayo Leisure Point reopens fully in mid October.
