Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 26 has officially been launched, marking another milestone in the celebration of bilingual excellence among businesses and organisations in Galway City. Widely regarded as one of the city’s most prestigious accolades, the Gradam recognises those who actively and creatively use the Irish language in their everyday operations, reinforcing Galway’s identity as Ireland’s Bilingual City.

Maigh Cuilinn artist Padraic Reaney will have his work showcased at a landmark international exhibition in the United Nations Headquarters, New York, this December, as part of a global celebration marking the organisation’s 80th anniversary.

The 23rd annual Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh gala awards ceremony was held on Monday at the Galway Bay Hotel, celebrating excellence in bilingual service among businesses and organisations across Galway City. Finalists, their families, colleagues and friends, together with members of Cairde Ghaillimh le Gaeilge, turned out in force to honour this year’s achievements.
