Tooreen eased to victory in the opening round of the Mayo Senior Hurling Championship with a comprehensive win over Castlebar Mitchels last Friday night.

The Mayo hurling championships will get going this weekend with the senior championship kicking things off this evening when the defending county and provincial champions Tooreen head to Castlebar to take on the Mitchels men at 7.30pm.
