WHILE THERE is no shortage of female filmmakers, there is often a lack of support and recognition for their work. With this in mind, the 2014 Galway Film Fleadh will screen an unprecedented number of films by women directors.

The Pipe, the award-winning Irish documentary on Rossport’s struggle against the economic might of Shell, will be launched on DVD in Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop tomorrow at 6pm.

The Pipe will hav its two final screenings in Áras Inis Gluaire, Belmullet on December 29 and 30 at 8pm.

THE PIPE, the award-winning Irish documentary on Rossport’s struggle against the economic might of Shell, will be screened in The Eye cinema in Wellpark on Saturday December 4.
