PETER DELANEY, the Limerick singer-songwriter and ukulele player has released a new album and plays a secret gig in Galway tomorrow at 9pm.

GAC(h) DUINE, the Galway Arts Centre’s first music festival, runs from this evening until Saturday at the centre on 47 Dominick Street.

THE YEAR normally does not go by without the Galway Arts Centre hosting a number of music gigs, either in its HQ in Dominick Street or at the Nuns Island Theatre, but a three day music festival, focussing on indie, folk rock, and electronica, is a new departure.

SOME OF Galway’s best indie-rock and folk/roots bands will perform across three days in the Galway Arts Centre for the venue’s new music festival GAC(h) Duine.

Four of Ireland’s top up-and-coming folk acts will appear in the Passionfruit Theatre this Friday September 14. Limerick troubadour Peter Delaney will be joined by Galway acts Yawning Chasm and Brigid Power Ryce as well as Athlone act The Driftwood Manor.

PETER DELANEY, the Limerick born singer-songwriter who draws inspiration from traditional and folk music as well as Hawaiian song, plays Kelly’s tonight at 9pm.
