Local Fine Gael Senator Aisling Dolan has welcomed Government confirmation of substantial funding for the upgrade of services and facilities at Portiucnula University Hospital in Ballinasloe.

The urgent need to progress a number of projects at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe – including a replacement scanner and new modular emergency department and outpatient waiting room – has been raised with the HSE by local Deputy, Denis Naughten.

Substantial funding of €5.53 million has been allocated for investment in Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe under the HSE Capital Plan 2021.
