A Green Party initiative to encourage people to cycle to work is proving to be a success, according to city based cycle store Nigel’s cycles.

•The next instalment of Galway Triathlon Club’s lecture series will take place next week with a talk on long-distance racing by some of Galway’s most experienced athletes. The open-forum will be hosted by Athenry AC’s ultra distance runner Mick Rice, multiple Ironman competitor Reilly Dibner, and stage race cyclist Nigel Forde. The session will be chaired by GTC coach Ray Glynn and will give an insight into long distance running, cycling, and triathlon. The talk will take place in the Radisson Hotel on Monday January 25 at 7pm.
