THE AMAZING Apples, one of Galway's leading and most popular bands, will play a 'surprise gig' on Friday July 31 in The Loft at Seven, Bridge Street, ahead of their upcoming slot at the main stage of the Indiependence Festival in Mitchelstown.

December will be a hectic month for Tommy Tiernan as he undertakes a seven date tour across all corners of County Galway, performing his new show Out Of The Whirlwind. The show, he says, will be a mixture of “storytelling and improv”, but this is also likely to be the last run of ‘world tour of Galway’ styled shows Tommy will do.

It promises to be one of the buzziest albums to be released in 2010. Each song on the album has a very distinct identity, ranging from the highly charged ‘There’s A Moth at Your Window’, over the jazzy-snappy ‘Lovebirds’, the quirky ‘Wondering the Why’, to the touching ‘Dance With You’.
