The weekly parkrun event held in Castlebar at Lough Lannagh, will celebrate its first anniversary tomorrow Saturday, March 7. The event organisers are hosting a party in Castlebar Tennis Club afterwards to mark the occasion.
Get Active Clogher
Following on from the success of Operation Transformation Mayo last year, Clogher Environmental Group is continuing with the walking programme entitled Get Active Clogher, each Saturday commencing at Clogher Heritage Centre at 10.30am. This walking programme is organised in liaison with Mayo Sports Partnership and Operation Transformation and the campaign is also supported by Mayo County Council in conjunction with Mayo Rural Alliances.
Operation Get Active Mayo is up and running
To coincide with this year’s Operation Transformation the Mayo Sports Partnership made a call for communities, clubs, groups throughout the county to get involved in a five week activity campaign. More than 25 groups have registered with the partnership, with the campaign kicking off locally with the five Mayo Operation Transformation Walks in Ballina, Belmullet, Castlebar, Claremorris, and Westport on Saturday last.
