A cycle challenge along the spectacular Great Western Greenway is taking place on March 29 to raise funds for a much needed dedicated cystic fibrosis (CF) unit at Mayo General Hospital.

Balla couple Gerry Butler and Mary Mulrennan Butler have been lighting up their garden with an incredible array of Christmas lights for the past five years but this year they have taken it to a new level with 74 separate intricate arrangements lighting up their home and garden on the outskirts of Balla. All money collected this year will be given to the local Mayo Cystic Fibrosis Association.
