Triple gold for Joseph’s duo

Two former KCH athletes, Ciara Everard and John Fagan, representing their respective third level colleges of UCD and DCU, both struck gold at the Intervarsities Track and Field Championships on Saturday.

The record books will show that Kilkenny athletes had a good day at the Leinster Cross-country championships held in Kilmacow on Sunday. Starting at noon with the juvenile relays, five Kilkenny clubs got medals.

At the 34th Annual Smithwick’s Awards Presentation in Langton House Hotel on Friday night, city club, Kilkenny City Harriers, was the recipient of the Athletics Award.
