Historic changes are afoot at St Patrick’s Primary School, Lombard Street, Galway, as for the first time in its illustrious history the school is now enrolling girls. Traditionally St Pat’s enrolled boys only from second to sixth class, but is embracing changes to respond to the rapidly evolving needs of education in a modern, cosmopolitan, city. This includes the introduction of infant and junior classes.

The recently appointed principal of the oldest boys’ primary school in the city says her vision for the facility is to discover and nurture the talents and abilities of its young students.
