The countdown begins, with less than one month to go for the largest voluntary mission ever to leave Ireland with the Niall Mellon Township Trust Building Blitz.

After months of thorough preparation more than 2,000 volunteers, including 48 volunteers from Kilkenny, are preparing to leave this Friday to work in the township of Khayelitsha in Cape Town, South Africa. 

Ford’s hard working Ranger 4x4 was in service alongside the 2,000 Irish volunteers who helped build 253 houses at last week’s Niall Mellon Township Trust Building Blitz in Capetown.

Twenty one Galway volunteers were part of a 500 person group which took part in a major building blitz in South Africa on behalf of the Niall Mellon Township Trust recently.
