Of all the catwalk trends, celebrity influences and High Street offerings, if I was to pick my favourite item of all time, it would be a t-shirt. Plain and simple. It’s a core item that no wardrobe should be without. You may think that there are plenty of items that should form part of your capsule closet but think of it like this. Blazer and jeans, leggings and sneakers, summer skirt and sandals, no matter what the outfit, the basis of all of the aforementioned, is a t-shirt. Now I’m not talking about a top emblazoned with your favourite 1980s rock band (although I have a brilliant one with Debbie Harry on it) my advice is to keep it plain this summer and stick to styles such as a fitted cotton “v” or round neck, sleeveless or cap sleeved, waist or hip length.
