As fuel costs continue to soar, Irish motorists are now more likely to make a move towards green driving. Over half (51%) of all respondents in a new survey by Carzone, admitted that the recent rise in fuel prices has made them consider switching to an electric vehicle (EV), despite never considering the switch before.

According to the latest Carzone motoring report, 50 per cent of 1,600 Irish motorists it surveyed plan to purchase a car under two years old. And, based on data from previous years, and monitoring traffic visiting the site and apps, Carzone claims that Monday was the day when Irish motorists are most likely to consider buying a car.
