A man who put in a window in the house where his 11-week-old child was, and who threatened to kill a man in Custume Place, was remanded to appear in the Circuit Court in Portlaoise yesterday (December 16) after it was revealed both these offences had been committed whilst he was still under a suspended sentence.

A man who terrorised his partner and broke a window in her apartment, as well as stealing a laptop in an unrelated burglary, was heavily criticised by the judge for his behaviour and will now have to go to the Circuit Court in December to see if a two month suspended jail sentence issued last year will be re-activated.
